1. Waldweiher: the quiet natural gem
This hike starts right at the doorstep of our mountain hotel in Austria. At the village fountain, we turn left and follow the path through the charming hamlet of Geizens, passing Griaßegg and heading toward Kälbergatter. After a brief road stretch, we enter a forest trail that leads us in just a few minutes and after a short steep ascent to the idyllic Waldweiher pond. The still waters, peaceful surroundings and lush green nature make this a perfect spot to start your hiking holidays in Austria relaxed and refreshed.

2. Hochgallmigg: the picturesque mountain village

One of these takes you to the picturesque mountain village of Hochgallmigg, a district of Fließ. We walk to the village center and follow trail number 10 through meadows below the village and over Vögeler Bichl to Neuer Zoll. The path then winds through the hamlets of Brosgen and the beautiful Niedergallmigger Forest, reaching Hochgallmigg at 1,218 meters. This rustic village offers breathtaking views of the peaks Venet, Hoher Rifflers, and Hohe Aifnerspitze.

3. Zammer Alm: the culinary peak
Starting from our mountain hotel in Austria, we follow the road uphill to Schatzen and further to the Weiler Egg. Here we leave the paved road, descend to Gamplesplatte, and continue along a forest road to the middle station of the Venet cable car. The trail then climbs further to the Venet ski hut and finally to the Zammer Alm at 1,780 meters. Upon arrival, you’ll be rewarded with delicious Tyrolean specialties. For those interested, a detour to the nearby reservoir pond is highly recommended.

4. From the Nature Park House at Gachen Blick to Venet: the ultimate summit experience
This tour is a must for all summit enthusiasts wanting to explore the Kaunergrat Nature Park on walking holidays in Austria, Tyrol. After a short bus ride to the Nature Park House at Gachen Blick, we follow trail no. 6 through forests and alpine meadows to Gogles Alm. Here, Leo and his team welcome us with regional delicacies. T The views over the Upper Gericht valley and surrounding peaks are truly spectacular. From the alm, the E5 trail winds pleasantly in switchbacks and over grassy hills up to the Glanderspitze at 2,505 meters. The breathtaking 360-degree panorama is definitely a highlight of your guided walking holidays in Austria!
